Alpaca is a natural, luxurious fiber that—with a little attention—can stay beautiful and functional for decades. Whether you're snuggling under an alpaca blanket or stepping out in an alpaca coat, proper care keeps your investment looking and feeling its best.

SOCKS

Care Tips:

Machine Washable?

-Many alpaca socks are machine washable, but always check the label.

-If machine washing is allowed:

-Use cold water.

-Select the gentle/delicate cycle.

-Use mild or wool-safe detergent.

Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can damage fibers.

Drying: If machine drying Air dry flat to maintain shape and elasticity.

For longer life not tumble dry, as heat can shrink or weaken the fibers.

SWEATERS

Alpaca sweaters are luxuriously soft and should be treated with care to prevent stretching or felting.

Washing:

-Hand wash only in cold water with wool-safe detergent.

-Gently agitate the water, but do not wring or twist.

-Let soak for 5–10 minutes, then rinse gently.


Drying:

-Roll the sweater in a towel to remove excess water.

-Lay flat to dry on a dry towel or drying rack, reshaping it while damp.

-Keep out of direct sunlight and heat sources.


Storage:

-Store folded in a drawer or breathable garment bag.

-Use lavender sachets or cedar to deter moths—never store in plastic bags long-term.


FUR PRODUCTS

(Ethically sourced alpaca fur is a byproduct of natural death, especially in the Andean Highlands of Peru.)

Cleaning:

-Do not wash or submerge in water.

-Use a soft brush or wide-tooth comb to fluff up and detangle fibers.

-Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed.

-Let air dry naturally.


Maintenance:

-Shake gently to remove dust.

-Keep away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.

Home Goods

Washing:

-For small items (like cushion covers), hand wash in cold water using wool detergent.
